LA’s metro system offers bus and rail services across the city.
The Los Angeles Metro Rail runs approximately from 4:30 am to 1:30 am, although the schedule varies depending on the line and day of the week. The frequency of trains is approximately between 5 and 10 minutes depending on the time. Most bus lines will run from 5:00am to Midnight.
In order to access public transportation, you need to buy a TAP card, which costs around 1 to 2 dollars (depending on where you buy it), and which can be topped up as many times as you want. You can only buy one card per person.
